Room Use Policies

  • BLC classrooms may be reserved for authorized university activities and programs. Priority is given to usage that directly supports the BLC’s central mission in accordance with the BLC’s policies, existing university policies, campus regulations, and any specific building restrictions.
  • Instructors are responsible for familiarizing themselves with the technology prior to using the room.
  • Instructors are responsible for setting up the configuration of the room to suit their own purposes.
  • Instructors are responsible for ensuring that BLC rooms are locked after their classes are over and that equipment (e.g., the data projector) has been turned off.
  • Instructors using BLC classrooms on multiple occasions or in off-hours may obtain a key to the classroom.
  • BLC reservations are for the specified room, time, and dates only. Additional usage outside the room/days/times specified in the reservation requires a new request.
  • Equipment should at no time be removed from the classrooms.
  • BLC classrooms are available for reservation between 8 AM and 6 PM Monday through Friday, except holidays.
  • No food or drink is allowed in classrooms or the computer facility, and instructors are expected to enforce this policy when meeting in BLC rooms.
