B-7 Dwinelle is designed as a distance-learning / hybrid classroom utilizing Zoom Rooms*, camera, and microphone. The room features two monitors in order to facilitate material sharing and in-person and remote attendee interactions. Additionally, it is an excellent space for peer tutoring and group meetings for language classes or for working / reading groups. For in-person events, the monitors can display separate sources (e.g., document camera, laptop). Instructors can use their own devices (laptop, iPads) or the installed devices (laptop, document camera). Room capacity is 12.
This dual boot (Macintosh/Windows) computer lab has an instructor’s computer with data projection and 23 student computer workstations. When not reserved for a class, the room is used as a drop-in computer facility. Student recording of audio files for classes is possible.
