Workshop Description

This workshop focuses on practical and current strategies for designing and implementing a  proficiency-based foreign language curriculum. Participants will explore the principles of  backward design and proficiency-based learning, while gaining insight into how to integrate the  three modes of communication: interpretive, presentational, and interactive. Additionally,  participants will learn to identify key components of an effective lesson plan, beginning with  clear proficiency targets. By the end of the session, participants will be equipped with the latest  knowledge on proficiency-based curriculum design and lesson plan development.
