The UC Berkeley Department of Italian Studies invites students to apply by March 5, 2026 to enroll in their exciting summer study abroad program. Taking place in both Trieste and Venice, the summer session runs from May 30 to July 11.
Students can expect to:
· Build fluency in Italian through language immersion and progress through the Italian major/minor (program open to all majors and all levels from beginner to advanced)
·Live in and explore the beautiful seaside cities of Trieste (4 weeks) and Venice (2 weeks), and experience field trips to historic and scenic places across Italy.
·Earn Berkeley credit and satisfy major and minor requirements
·Satisfy International Studies L&S Breadth AND one more breadth (either Historical Studies or Social Behavioral Studies L&S Breadth)
All majors are welcome to apply; financial aid and scholarships are available!
