For the spring 2003 BLC newsletter, Associate Director Mark Kaiser conducted an extensive interview with the creators of Berliner sehen, an immersive multimedia environment for language and culture studies, followed by his Notes. Associate Professor of French Richard Kern contributed an article on what Education Abroad teaches. Agnes Dimitriou (Lecturer, Spanish and Portuguese), Paige Daniel Ware (PhD candidate, Education), William Short (PhD candidate, Classics), Kristenn Templeman (PhD candidate, French), and Michael Chad Wellmon (PhD candidate, German) reported on their BLC Fellows’ projects. We had conference reports from Lynne Frame (Lecturer and Language Coordinator, German) and Ellen R. Langer (Lecturer, Slavic Languages and Literatures).
