    I was born in Germany, but now I live in Berkeley. Ich bin in Deutschland geboren, aber jetzt lebe ich in Berkeley.

Is it difficult to translate any of these expressions into German? Why?

    Go Bears does not directly translate into German - the cultural context is missing here, the reference to a sports team rather than an animal. These sport metaphors and encouragements are not part of popular culture / language use as much as in American English.
